BOOK A SCOPING CALL

Four things decide the number

Where it has to work
A mark for a website and an Instagram profile is one project. One thatalso survives embroidery on a hat, vinyl on a truck door and a favicon atsixteen pixels is another. Same logo, four times the engineering.
What already exists
Refreshing a mark customers recognize is harder than starting clean, noteasier. You're designing inside constraints that are worth protecting.
Who decides
One owner who can say yes is a fast project. A board, three partners anda family member with opinions is a slower one. That's not a complaint, it'shours.
When you need it
Compressed timelines cost more because they consume the schedule, notbecause the work changes.

Timeline
Most projects run two to four weeks depending on complexity; full identity systems run four to eight. Rush delivery available for an additionalfee.

You receive full ownership of final designs. Vector source files (AI, SVG, EPS), high-resolution PNGs, and color and single-color versions are included with every package at no extra charge.
Custom Quotes
For projects outside the scope of this menu (e.g., large-scale branding campaigns, complex web development), I’ll provide a tailored quote after a consultation.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a logo design cost in Tacoma?
A refresh of an existing mark starts at $1,500. A new logo with the core system around it (palette, typography and a usage guide) starts at $3,500. Where you land depends mostly on how many places the mark has to work: a logo for a website and an Instagram profile is a different job than one that also has to hold up embroidered on a hat and cut in vinyl on a truck door. Tell me what you're building and I'll quote it properly.
Why "from" pricing instead of a full price list?
Because two projects are rarely the same amount of work, and a fixed price list would mean either overcharging the simple ones or underdelivering on the complex ones. The starting figures are real, nothing starts below them. You get a fixed number in writing after a scoping conversation, before anythingbegins.
What’s the difference between a logo and a brand identity?
A logo is one mark. A brand identity is the whole system around it - colors, typefaces, supporting graphics, and rules for how they’re used. If you only need something to put on a sign, a logo is enough. If your menu, your van, your packaging, and your Instagram all need to look like the same business, you want the identity.
Do I own the design when it’s finished?
Yes. You receive full ownership of the final designs, along with vector source files, high-resolution exports, and color and single-color versions (included, not charged as an extra). One exception worth knowing: font files themselves stay licensed from their foundry, so brand guidelines include download instructions rather than the fonts.
How long does a design project take?
Most take two to four weeks depending on complexity. Rush delivery is available when you’re working against a launch or an event date. I’ve built a full identity and delivered print-ready files ahead of an opening before.
Can you refresh my existing logo instead of starting from scratch?
Often that’s the better call. If customers already recognize your mark, throwing it out means throwing away recognition you paid for. A redesign keeps what’s working - the color, the shape, the feeling people associate with you - and fixes what isn’t, like a logo that won’t scale, won’t reproduce in one color, or doesn’t say what you actually do.
Do you build the website, or only design it?
I work in Figma and Webflow, so the site you approve is the site that ships.
Do you work with businesses outside Tacoma?
Yes. I regularly work with clients in Gig Harbor, Kitsap County, Puyallup, Lakewood, across the South Sound, and remotely beyond that. Being nearby helps for things like signage and packaging where seeing the space matters, but plenty of projects run entirely over email and video.
What if I don’t like any of the first concepts?
That’s what the revision rounds are for, and it’s usually a sign the brief needed sharpening rather than that the work was wrong. Two rounds are included in every project. In practice, the scoping conversation at the start is what prevents this. I’d rather spend an hour on questions than a week on a direction you don’t want.
How does payment work?
50% deposit to start, 50% on completion. Smaller projects are paid in full upfront. You’ll have a written scope and a fixed price before either payment.
